Sounds like everyone had a GREAT 4th of July!!! We did as well!!! Dara, Mike & I attended our church picnic on Sunday evening July 2nd which was the anniversary of Dara's baptism last year. Chase, Mike's youngest son, got to go with us - and our friends, Jerry & Joyce Wiglesworth - our HAND N FOOT partners - came as well. We knew quite a few more people this year than we did last year and look forward to the years to come as Emmaus truly becomes our church family.

On the 4th - we chilled out at home and then got to visit with Jerry & Joyce in their brand new home near downtown Norman listening to fireworks all around as we played pitch & hand n foot (Mom & Dad - we would LOVE to play with you guys sometime - or even the whole family - too fun!!!)

Chase ended up riding in a fund raising ride up in Stillwater last Wednesday. His goal was to ride the 100 miles in less than 5 hrs and came VERY close to doing it!

Dal and his girlfriend Meagan came over for dinner last weekend and Meagan is now working at the new RiverWind Casino just a mile from our place. Between Ty working at Thunderbird Casino, Dal at NewCastle Gaming Center & Meagan at RiverWind, our crew just about has the casino's covered!

Terri & Gabriel spent the 4th totally IN down in Dallas as they watched movies and played games as well. Gabriel had just gotten in from Lubbock where he had been working and accompanying a flutist. Gabriel also played a series of concerts down in Mexico this past month and got some GREAT reviews from the media. Terri had just finished up a couple of weeks of FLOOT FIRE where she teaches. I remember the first time she attended as a student and am thrilled that she is now part of that experience for other students.

Terri will be coming up to Norman to stay with Dara as Mike & I head down to Rally in a week. We are both looking forward to Rally since we have several new jewelers joining us.

Not sure how Ryan, Mike's oldest son, spent his 4th but look forward to hearing all about and visiting with him soon.

More later on as our 8 lives keep turnin'

We did it!!! Actually, Mike did it and now I'm typing for us since I type a wee bit faster. Mike & I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed reading our extended family blogs - 2partners, L5life & MajesticSix and now we'll have fun joining in with As the 8 Lives Turn. We plan to share JUST a bit from the lives of our kids - 6 amazing adults - although it seems just yesterday they were all just little 'uns going to school and playing sports & music. It has been WONDERFUL reading Tony & Dad & Kelly's postings since we have mainly talked with Mom, Melody & Brett in keeping up with the families. Of course, it's ALWAYS great to read about Wade catching little glimpses of his crew through mom & dad's blog and through Wade & Rachelle. Thank you all for being our family, for loving us, for supporting us, and now for sharing your families and adventures with us. Isn't life surprising? A neverending journey that thrills the soul with joy & sorrow around each bend. We look forward to sharing about our kids . . . as the 8 lives turn. Cherri
